Srinagar, Jul 08 (KNO): Since the commencement of this year’s Amarnath Yatra, over 40,000 yatris have received medical treatment at various hospitals in Baltal and Pahalgam.
According to data accessed by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), 42,572 patients have been treated in OPDs across Kashmir. Specifically, 22,120 yatris were treated at Baltal and 20,452 at Pahalgam.
Further details reveal that 84 patients were admitted to the IPD at Baltal and 56 at Pahalgam, with 298 injuries treated at Baltal and 256 at Pahalgam. Additionally, 194 X-rays were conducted at Baltal and 350 at Pahalgam.
In terms of laboratory tests, 1,113 were performed at Baltal and 1,613 at Pahalgam. Only 28 patients from Baltal and 23 from Pahalgam required referrals to other facilities.
Moreover, two cardiac patients were treated at Baltal and four at Pahalgam. The data also indicates there were 1,731 short-stay admissions at Baltal and 2,309 at Pahalgam—(KNO)
